Station owners

Station owners and rights holders

How OnlineRadio lists stations, and how to have yours removed. Last updated September 2026.

The short version

We do not own, operate or broadcast any radio station. We publish a listing that points at a stream address the station already publishes, and nothing is recorded or stored. If you run a station and you would rather not be listed, email takedown@onlineliveradio.com and we will take it down. We do not ask you to prove anything first.

What this service actually is

OnlineRadio is a directory. Every station on it comes from Radio Browser, a volunteer-run public database of internet radio streams that anyone can submit to and edit. We did not create those entries and we cannot change what is in that database; what we control is what we list.

When you press play, the audio comes from the station’s own server. Roughly a third of the streams in the directory are served over plain HTTP, which a secure web page is not allowed to load, so for those we pass the audio through a relay on our side. The relay is a pipe: it reads the station’s stream and hands the same bytes to the browser. It does not record, store, cache, transcode or re-encode anything, it inserts nothing, and it stops the moment the listener stops.

We do not sell advertising against any station, and we do not claim rights in any broadcast, recording, name or logo. Station names, logos and descriptions are shown as they appear in the directory so that listeners can find the station they are looking for.

If you want your station removed

Email takedown@onlineliveradio.com. Please include:

  • the station name, and a link to its page on this site if you have one
  • the stream address, if you know it — it is the surest way to identify the entry
  • a line saying you run the station or act for whoever does

We will remove it. We aim to do it within 72 hours of reading the message, and we do not require a formal notice, a lawyer, or evidence of ownership before acting — the cost of removing a station is small and the cost of arguing with a broadcaster about their own station is not.

Removal here means the station stops appearing anywhere on this website: lists, search, the map, and its own page. We will also stop serving any stored copy of its logo. Tell us if you want the listing kept but the logo removed, or the other way round, and we will do that instead.

One thing we cannot do on your behalf: your entry will still exist in the Radio Browser database, because that database is not ours. Removing it there — or correcting it — is done at radio-browser.info, and doing so eventually removes the station from every app built on it, including this one. We are happy to point you at the right place.

Other requests

Wrong details. If the name, country, genre or logo we show is wrong, the fix belongs in the directory, since that is where we read it from. Write to us anyway if that is awkward and we will either correct it on our side or help you correct it at the source.

Copyright in something other than the stream. If a logo or image we display infringes your rights, send us the station name and what the material is, and we will remove the image and block the file so it cannot come back through another entry.

Adding a station. We cannot add one directly. New stations enter through Radio Browser and reach us from there.
