How this website handles information. Last updated September 2026.
The short version
You can listen to every station here without an account, and nothing on this site tries to work out who you are. An account is optional and exists for one reason: to carry your favourites between this browser, your phone and your car. Payments are handled by Stripe and card details never reach our servers. There are no ads, no third-party trackers, and nothing is sold to anybody.
Listening without an account
Nothing that identifies you is collected, and no cookie is set. Your volume, playback speed, theme, favourites and listening history live in your browser’s own storage on this device, and are never sent to us. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them permanently — we hold no copy to restore from.
If you create an account
Sign-in runs through Firebase Authentication, a Google service, using the same account the Android app uses. We receive your user ID, your email address and, if your provider supplies one, your display name. Those three fields are what this site stores about you as a person.
They are kept in a session cookie that this server signs. The cookie is HttpOnly so no script can read it, Secure so it only travels over HTTPS, and SameSite=Lax. Signing out clears it.
While you are signed in, your favourites sync to a document held in Google Firestore. That document contains station identifiers and the time each was last changed — no listening history, no timestamps of when you listened, and nothing about what you played.
Premium and payments
A subscription is processed by Stripe through a separate payments service. Your card number is entered on Stripe’s own pages and never touches this site or its servers — we never see it, and could not store it if we wanted to. What we keep is whether the account is currently subscribed, recorded against your account ID. Stripe’s handling of the payment itself is covered by their privacy policy.
Your IP address
Every request to any website carries an IP address, and this one is no exception. It is used while the request is being served, for two things: limiting how many requests one address can make, so the service is not trivially overwhelmed, and defaulting the site to stations from your country so the first page is useful. It is not written to a database, not attached to your account, and not retained after the response.
Radio streams
Audio is relayed through this site rather than played directly from the broadcaster. That is a privacy property, not an accident: it means the station’s server sees our server rather than your address, so listening to a station does not expose you to whoever runs it.
Analytics
Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, builds no fingerprint of your browser, and cannot follow you to any other site. It reports totals — how many people opened a page — and nothing that could be traced back to a person. There is no Google Analytics here, and no advertising or social pixel of any kind.
Where the station data comes from
The catalogue is Radio Browser, a volunteer-run directory. Your browser never contacts it; this server does, on your behalf. Browsing stations therefore tells the directory nothing about you.
Who processes data for us
Vercel hosts the site and serves it from Stockholm. Google provides Firebase Authentication and Firestore for accounts and favourite syncing. Stripe processes payments. Cloudflare provides the cookieless analytics and this domain’s DNS. Each acts on our instructions for the purpose described above, and for nothing else.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you have the right to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to receive a copy, and to have it deleted. For this site that is a short list — the three account fields and the favourites document described above.
Deletion is self-service and immediate: open your account and choose Delete account. It removes the sign-in, deletes the synced favourites, and cancels any subscription bought on this site in the same step, so nothing is left billing. If you would rather we did it, write to psgtech.mohan@gmail.com from the address on the account. Anything held in your own browser you can clear yourself at any time, without asking us.
Children
This is a general-audience radio site. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this page
If how this site handles information changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Material changes will be visible here rather than announced quietly.
