radio.net is a large, long-established European radio directory, and their station pages are good — genuinely better marked up than most of the field. This page is about where the two products differ, written by the people behind one of them, so read it with that in mind and check the sources at the bottom.
The price we could not find
radio.net advertises an ad-free tier in its main navigation, on both radio.net and the German radio.de. On 11 September 2026 neither homepage carried a figure for it, and the obvious candidate pages — /ad-free, /adfree, /werbefrei, /subscription — all returned 404. As far as we can tell the price is only visible once you are inside the app. We have not quoted a number for it below, because we do not have one we can stand behind.
What we do differently
Our price is on a page anyone can read without installing anything: $4.99/month or $49.99/year, 14-day trial. Everything plays free without an account first. That is the whole difference in approach — you can find out what it costs, and hear the station, before you commit to either.

What radio.net does better
- radio.net has been doing this far longer, and it shows in coverage — especially in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where their local station data is better than ours.
- Their station pages carry star ratings from real users. Ours do not, because we have not collected any, and we would rather show nothing than invent a number.
- They have native apps on more platforms than we do.
